Carroll Andrews

Form, color, and light have fascinated me since childhood.  In the third grade, my crayon drawings of homes and grounds were displayed on the hall bulletin board for most of the year.  My teachers in elementary school enjoyed my drawings and encouraged me to continue.  I was happy to take their advice.

I have always enjoyed the art of many other people besides myself.  I have many art books in my library, but constantly seek to add more.  The old masters continue to keep my attention as well as probably my favorite watercolor artist, Andrew Wyeth.

Due to my chosen profession in pharmacy, I have not been able to paint as much as I would have liked.  As I approach a time of less work load, I intend to concentrate on my lifetime love of creating drawings and paintings.

I am a member of the Birmingham Art Association as well as the Watercolor Society of Alabama.  I have been accepted into several of the member’s shows and have enjoyed being a part of many art shows and exhibitions over the last few years.
