Kelley Kahn Kelly Finlay Kahn, a native of Albertville Alabama, has had a zeal for art since she was young. After college, a career and licensing in commercial Interior Design in Birmingham, Alabama, Kelly eventually walked into the painting world in 1997 and concentrated on watercolor portraiture. She has been teaching year round children/teen art classes for 11 years. Some of her students have won awards state wide as well as in their local school. Workshops and classes with artist Al Sella, Paul Leveille, Dori DeCamillis, John Lonergan, Rollina Ogelsbay, Frances Jones, Les Yarborough and others helped to develop her talents. Nationally known artists Jan Kunz and Winslow Homer have also influenced her knowledge and work greatly. Kelly enjoys painting in the environment of her home and with the long standing art group called The Village Painters. She paints in all mediums but particularly in oil and watercolor. Her subject matters have been figurative, architectural, landscapes, still life and portraiture. |
